Congratulations on your engagement and forthcoming wedding and
welcome to Truly Madly Deeply Bridal!
We are delighted you have found us and can't wait to meet you!
We have 14 years' experience in dressing brides of the Newcastle upon Tyne area and our continued success has been built on our honest expertise, sensible pricing (our gowns are £200 - £1500), our impassioned customer service and our obsessive attention to detail. Our belief is that choosing your wedding dress should be exciting and magical but relaxed and stress free, and should be in the hands of a professional whose standards are as high as yours.
Our gowns are from some of the biggest labels in bridalwear who are as fussy about quality and high standards as we are. We will only deal with the best and we will only carry gowns in our shop that are as fabulous as a wedding dress should be. But don't worry if you have a quirky, informal or super traditional theme, we have all your ideas sitting here, just waiting for you.
We would be genuinely honoured to be part of your plans and would love the opportunity to show you what we can do. We are incredibly proud of our stunning little bridal shop and we will strive to provide you with a truly unforgettable wedding dress shopping experience. Your size and budget are not important to us, but you are.
We look forward to meeting you!
A bit about us..
Lots of brides are nervous about dress shopping for the first time, but really, there is no need, we're nice! Our appointments are booked for a full hour and a half and for most brides this is enough time to find your dress (yes, even on a first visit so don't be surprised if that happens!).
We kick off with a consultation to find out your likes, dislikes, ideas you may have, choice of venue, and type of wedding so that we get a feel for what you have in mind. Once you've made your choices, we then get to make ours! Our brides love the random suggestions, the wild cards, curve balls and the "I never would have picked this off the rail" gowns which so often end up being "the one". So never dismiss a dress on the hanger and keep an open mind!
Our commitment to superb personal service is something that sets us apart from our competitors. The owner of the business, Debbie will personally take your appointment and you will never EVER be passed over to a junior staff member or inexperienced Saturday girl. You deserve perfection in every one of your interactions with us so you will always see the owner at every visit (we're a little protective about our brides you see!).
We are utterly dedicated to high standards of customer service, and we are working to the highest levels of cleanliness during the coronavirus outbreak. For this reason we are strictly appointment only.
We're in the quiet village of Monkseaton at the bottom end of Front Street (nearest to the sea front) and a short 15 minute journey from Newcastle Upon Tyne. We're a little different to most bridal shops because we offer you the best of both worlds. On one hand we're a gorgeous wedding dress shop with the standards you would expect when buying a brand new gown , but we're also 50% outlet with prices to match and no reduction in service .
We're a cute little boutique and our standards are high. We feel that our exquisite choice of immaculately kept gowns (cleaned on a rota), and personal service is unrivalled.
We have one large changing room so you will be the only bride we ever see while you are here. We don't believe in conveyor belt bridal with rows of changing rooms, so at your appointment you're the focus and no one else. We think you're the only bride in the world and when choosing your gown you deserve to feel the same way!
So, the gown is chosen, your mum has calmed down and the gym is getting more visits than ever! What happens now?
If you have ordered a new gown, it will be delivered at the time we discussed at the point of order. We will usually email to let you know it's here and you can then come along to do the exciting bit, trying on your own dress! At this point most brides choose accessories so it's a good idea to do your hair the way you'd like it on the day and if you have your shoes bring them with you too so that we get an idea of what alterations might be required later on.
We'll try the gown on but do bear in mind that few dresses fit perfectly at the first try on, but that's why we do fittings. Once you've reacquainted yourself with the best dress in the world it's yours to take home and we will then be back in touch with you around 8 weeks before the wedding to organise your fittings, so don't worry if you don't hear from us any sooner, we will have you in the diary to contact when we need to see you.
If you have bought from our outlet rails then your dress will be cleaned and checked for faults straight away. This takes around 2-3 weeks, but once it arrives back with us we will contact you to let you know it's here and you can come along and collect it. We then just have to wait until around 8 weeks before the wedding and we'll do the fittings then.
You'll then be in the very capable hands of a seamstress who has worked alongside us for years and whose work and talent speak for themselves.
Your gown will remain with her during the fittings process and will be returned to you altered, steamed and looking beautiful for that long awaited walk up the aisle.
